AZUR SPACE designs and manufactures multi-junction solar cells for space photovoltaics and terrestrial concentrating photovoltaics applications. The company provides solar cells and Coverglass Interconnected Cell (CIC) assemblies. Its customers include space agencies such as ESA, DLR, and NASA, and it supplies solar cells for scientific missions and commercial telecommunication and Earth exploration satellite programs. Notable programs include Hubble Space Telescope, Rosetta, Venus Express, Mars Express, Bepi Colombo, EarthCare, JUICE, HERA, Europa Clipper, Intelsat, Globalstar, Hotbird, ATV, Galileo Sat, Meteosat, Glonass, GMES, and OneWeb. AZUR SPACE is headquartered in Heilbronn, southern central Germany, where it was founded. Since 1964, it has delivered over 16 million space qualified solar cells and CIC assemblies, providing more than 11 MW of power to over 2,500 space projects. Its products have flown on satellites in all Earth orbits (LEO, MEO, GEO) and spacecraft operating from Mercury to Jupiter. The company became part of 5N Plus Inc. in 2022.
