About Deimos Space (Indra)

Deimos Space was founded in Madrid in 2001 and grew into one of Spain's leading independent space engineering companies, operating for over two decades as "Elecnor Deimos" within the Spanish industrial group Elecnor, with subsidiaries in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Romania and the United Kingdom. In August 2024 Indra Sistemas signed an agreement to acquire Deimos Space S.L.U. from Elecnor, and the acquisition completed on 31 October 2024, folding Deimos's engineering teams and heritage into Indra's newly formed space division, Indra Space. The Deimos Space brand and legacy website (deimos-space.com) have since been retired in favour of the unified Indra Space site. Note: Deimos Space was never a GMV subsidiary -- GMV is a separate, independent Spanish space and defence company with its own product catalog on this marketplace.

Indra Space (incorporating the former Deimos Space capabilities) has delivered more than 500 space projects and 50+ satellite missions worldwide, spanning Earth observation, telecommunications, satellite navigation, space surveillance and space exploration, with a portfolio of 300+ dual-use (civil and defence) space solutions. Its satellite platform business offers a versatile range from 6U cubesats up to 200 kg-class buses, including the Mini4EO multi-tasking Earth-observation platform and the AI-enabled Insight4EO on-board processing solution, built and integrated at an ISO-7 clean-room satellite integration centre.

The company's avionics and ADCS product line, marketed as READY ADCS (in READY-6U, READY-16U, READY-100 and READY-200 configurations), provides turnkey attitude determination and control systems for small satellites and CubeSats. Its ground segment business, built around the modular gs4EO software suite, operates TT&C stations, mission control centres and payload data ground segments for more than 30 Earth observation missions including ESA's Earth Explorers and Copernicus programmes, anchored by the Puertollano Antenna Park in Ciudad Real (a 10.2 m S/X-band antenna, the largest of its kind commercially available on the Iberian Peninsula).

Indra Space is a long-standing contributor to the European Galileo and EGNOS GNSS programmes, operating sensor stations, uplink stations and TT&C stations for the constellation, and offers the Navishield anti-jam/anti-spoofing CRPA antenna system and G3Star multi-constellation receivers. Its space surveillance and tracking (SST/SDA) network combines the S3T Surveillance Radar at Moron Air Base with optical telescope sites in Spain (including the Canary Islands), Portugal (Madeira and the Azores) and Chile, with a further site planned in Australia. The company also develops quantum key distribution and optical communication systems for secure defence networks, and the OnEO platform for multi-source geospatial intelligence and Earth-observation data fusion.
