About
Indra Space (formerly Deimos Space) develops optical and quantum communication technologies for ultra-fast, fully secure data exchange, targeting European technological sovereignty in secure communications. The offering applies Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) protocols to defence and government communication networks to ensure confidentiality, resilience and protection against emerging cryptographic threats, including future quantum-computing-based attacks. Optical communication links complement the QKD systems to provide high-bandwidth, low-latency, interception-resistant data paths between satellites, ground stations and secure facilities. This solution line builds on Indra Space’s broader secure-communications and GNSS security expertise (including the Key Management Facility used for Galileo PRS) and is aimed at defence and critical-infrastructure customers requiring next-generation cryptographic assurance for satellite and terrestrial links.
