Insight4EO On-Board AI Processing

Insight4EO is an on-board processing solution with embedded artificial intelligence for Earth observation missions that demand rapid decision-making and low latency, such as maritime surveillance and emergency response. Rather than downlinking raw imagery for ground processing, Insight4EO analyses and classifies data directly in orbit, transmitting only the relevant, actionable information to reduce downlink bandwidth needs and shorten the time from image capture to usable product. The system autonomously generates Earth-observation products and supports customised applications tailored to specific mission needs (e.g. vessel detection, wildfire/flood alerting, change detection). Insight4EO is offered by Indra Space (formerly Deimos Space) as a complementary payload/avionics module for its satellite platforms, including Mini4EO, and can be integrated into third-party smallsat buses.
