About

The ABSL CM170 in 4s6p topology is a compact Li-ion space battery built on the ABSL P20 cell, configured for a 14 V spacecraft bus.

At 1.6 kg and 178 Wh it is the smallest member of the range documented here, suited to SmallSat applications for new space missions. Whether for SmallSat applications or large multi-module battery configurations for cornerstone space agency programmes, EnerSys Space can provide the solution.

ABSL supplied the longest operating rechargeable Li-ion battery in space, the first to orbit Earth, Mars and Venus, the closest to orbit the sun, and the batteries trusted to power the James Webb Telescope, with over 6.5 billion cell hours in space without a mission failure.
