About
The Elektro PPU (Power Processing Unit) is the central power-electronics element of Airbus’ electric propulsion systems. It conditions and controls power delivered to Hall-effect thrusters and manages the associated xenon/krypton flow control electronics, converting spacecraft bus power into the regulated discharge, magnet and heater supplies a Hall thruster requires.
Available in NG1 and NG2 generations, the Elektro PPU is designed for satellite platforms using electric propulsion for orbit raising, station-keeping and end-of-life deorbiting, and is qualified to work with both xenon and krypton propellants across Airbus’ electric propulsion product line.
