About
The Antenna Reflector Hold-down Lock (mechanical) Type 1 is a component of the antenna hold-down and release system, designed to hold an antenna reflector in the stowed position during launch and transfer. It provides 600 kg of clamping force and resists up to 200 N·m of bending moment at the spacecraft interface surface. The lock can be actuated at least 50 times and operates across -100 to +100 °C. Mass is 0.35 kg. Released in 2011 with a 6-year service life and 4-month delivery time.
