The Antenna Reflector Hold-down Lock (mechanical) Type 2 is a component of the antenna hold-down and release system for holding an antenna reflector in the stowed position. It provides 400 kg clamping force and resists 200 kg of ultimate side loads at the reflector interface. The lock can be actuated at least 50 times and operates across -100 to +100 °C.
