About
The EVO-RSA is a spectrum analyzer designed on a completely new platform to meet current system challenges. It employs high-performance DSP and FPGAs to deliver strong RF monitoring performance and reliable operation in rackmount applications. The unit supports up to 12 RF inputs and is offered with L-Band and extended frequency band options across three models (2290: 900-2200 MHz, 3040: 400-3000 MHz, 6070: 70-6000 MHz). It connects via Ethernet or USB and supports multiple monitoring and control (M&C) interfaces, including a WEB-GUI, a POSIX-C API (SBS2API), and Avcom’s own EVO GUI, making it suitable for integration with custom M&C systems or for use with existing Avcom applications. Input connectors are available in SMA, BNC, F, and/or N types, with 2, 4, and 6 input models following one layout and 8, 10, and 12 input models following another; inputs ordered above the populated number are left unpopulated. The unit is housed in a 1U rackmount chassis and is powered via a barrel connector jack from a 15 VDC, 0.5A supply. It is rated for operation from 0°C to 50°C, storage from -40°C to 85°C, humidity up to 95% non-condensing, and a maximum operating altitude of 40,000 ft (12,000 m).
