About

The EVO-RBR (Rev B) is a robust satellite beacon receiver built on a new platform to address modern system challenges. It is designed for reliable operation and monitoring in rackmount applications. The receiver can quickly acquire and track CW satellite beacon carriers in both On-the-Move and fixed-site applications. It is capable of locking onto and tracking BPSK-type carrier signals and uniquely features an exclusive Avcom-only Carrier-Edge-Power-Tracking (CEPT) function for DVB-like carriers. Additionally, it provides a voltage output from 0 to 10 VDC proportional to the input signal. A distinctive feature of the EVO-RBR is its ability to function as a full-function spectrum analyzer when the beacon receiver function is not in use, eliminating the need for a separate device to track a beacon and monitor a carrier. Communication interfaces include Ethernet, USB, and serial, supporting interaction with a WEB-GUI, POSIX-C API, text-based API, and Avcom’s EVO GUI, making it suitable for integration with complex M&C systems or simpler microprocessor-based systems. The product offers L-Band and Extended Frequency Band options.
