About

The MSNG-2500C is a mini rack mount spectrum analyzer, 60% shorter in length compared to the full-sized SNG model. It features mounting brackets standard to fit half-width rack rails and offers up to two switchable inputs. Designed for ease of use and affordability, it includes 10 customizable presets, fast refresh rates up to 13/sec, L.O. frequency offsets for direct frequency readout, and 50 user memory locations. The MSNG is specifically engineered for the measurement of communications and broadcast carriers, making it suitable for monitoring and measuring uplink, downlink, L-band carriers, IF, and 10MHz reference signals. It provides excellent frequency and amplitude accuracy, along with RBW selection from 10kHz to 1MHz, which is crucial for viewing and monitoring small Telemetry, Tracking, Command Systems (TT&C), and data carriers prevalent in today’s satellite communications markets. The front panel allows control of Frequency & Span with Fine, Medium, and Coarse settings, enabling operators to precisely tune into carriers and manage the display. Advanced tools like persistence, averaging, or waterfall displays are included to facilitate the detection of periodic signals such as TDMA or noisy carriers.
