The SBS2-2150E-RSA is a remote spectrum analyzer designed to be integrated into OEM systems, with a particular focus on Satcom On-The-Move (SOTM) applications. It features a rugged design with an extended temperature range and delivers precise, accurate amplitude and frequency response. The unit covers an extended L-Band input frequency range of 950MHz to 2150MHz and additionally allows monitoring of a 10MHz reference signal. It requires only an external input voltage, accepting a wide range of +15 to +24VDC at 7W power consumption. Communication and remote control are provided via Ethernet or USB, supporting both commercial connectors and header connectors for easier embedded system integration. The device offers resolution bandwidths from 1MHz down to 10kHz, with an optional 3kHz RBW available for applications requiring very detailed signal analysis. The number of data points used can be adjusted from 1 to 4000 points within the control software, allowing users to optimize refresh rate versus resolution depending on application needs. The SBS2-2150E-RSA is monitored and controlled remotely from anywhere in the world using Avcom’s Remote Control Software, the EVO-GUI, accessible via USB or Ethernet. The GUI is POSIX compliant ‘C’ and can be accessed either through the graphical interface or via an available API, and runs on the Windows OS. It features an intuitive user interface requiring no special training, and can display up to sixteen windows at one time.
