Biolock

Biolock is an advanced biometric security system designed for control centers, providing robust access control and user traceability at workstations. It protects critical environments from internal and external threats, as well as accidental incidents, by combining biometric authentication and centralized user management. This system ensures fast, secure, and traceable access to workstations, even during emergency situations or outages. Control centers are highly sensitive elements, acting as the eyes, ears, and brain of operations, making their reliable behavior and protection against threats paramount. Biolock addresses this by reinforcing access control and user traceability, allowing continuous screen visualization even when the computer is locked. Operators can quickly access workstations by using a card or fingerprint reader. The system offers main functions such as registering, editing, or removing users and workstations, configuring blocking timeouts, setting lock positions, and sending emergency locks and unlocks. It also supports the creation and management of user and workstation groups, and retrieval of lock audit and pending actions. Biolock’s architecture includes a centralized administration tool for registration and enrollment, high availability across sites, and autonomous workstations that can lock and unlock without continuous connection to the central authority. Biometric data is stored in a separate database server for legal and security compliance.
