Command Decoders (ECD / ECTD Series)

Emhiser’s Command Decoder series converts received tone-coded command signals into discrete command outputs for range safety, flight termination and vehicle command functions. The ECD-3R Series is a 5-inch rack-mount ground/control-station decoder supporting up to 20 tones, while the ECTD-17 Series is an airborne-packaged decoder supporting up to 8 tones for onboard command decoding on the vehicle itself. These units are part of Emhiser’s broader Command Equipment product family, which also includes encoders, exciters, receiver-decoders and command transmitters, all designed to work together as a complete tone-command uplink/decode chain for missile, munitions and range-safety command-destruct applications.
