Command Exciters (ECEC Series)

The ECEC-5RB2 Series Command Exciter combines Emhiser’s tone-command encoding electronics with an RF exciter stage in a single 5-inch rack-mount ground-station unit, generating a modulated RF command uplink signal directly from tone command inputs. The unit supports up to 20 command tones and is rated for RF output power adjustable from 1 mW up to 20 watts, allowing range operators to match uplink power to the required command-link margin for a given mission geometry. Command Exciters are used at ground command/control stations for range-safety and flight-termination command uplinks, working alongside Emhiser’s Command Receivers and Receiver Decoders on the airborne side to complete the tone-command chain.
