The ECTC Command Transmitter Encoder series combines tone command encoding with an RF transmitter stage in a single ground-station unit, similar in concept to the Command Exciter line but packaged as a complete transmitter. Variants include the ECTC-5RB2 Series (5-inch rack mount), ECTC-7R Series (7-inch rack mount), and ECTC-8RB2A403-03 Series (8-inch base mount), all supporting up to 20 command tones with RF output power adjustable from 1 mW to 20 watts. These units are used at ground command and control stations to generate and transmit tone-coded command uplinks to range vehicles and test articles equipped with Emhiser Command Receivers or Receiver Decoders.
