Emxys Ground Station (EGS)

SDR-based terrestrial ground station for satellite communication covering UHF, VHF, and S-band frequencies.

About

The Emxys Ground Station (EGS) is a terrestrial radio station designed for satellite communication across UHF, VHF, and S-band frequencies. The EGS is built around an embedded computer connected to a Software Defined Radio (SDR) device, giving operators maximum frequency agility and the ability to configure new waveforms and protocols without hardware changes.

The SDR-based architecture means the EGS can communicate with the full range of standard CubeSat and nanosatellite TTC systems, including the ODALISS TTC module. Because the transceiver is software-defined, operators can update frequency plans, modulation schemes, and data protocols as mission requirements evolve, and can support multiple satellite missions from a single physical station by configuring the SDR for each pass.

The EGS is suitable for university space programmes, small satellite operators, and research institutions that need a flexible, cost-effective ground station solution without investing in traditional fixed-frequency hardware infrastructure.
