Focusoc

GMV’s Focusoc operations center provides flight safety services based on extending the services currently offered by the 18th Space Control Squadron (18 SPCS) under an SSA data exchange agreement signed between USSTRATCOM and GMV. Focusoc provides conjunction analysis (CA) and collision avoidance (COLA) services based on operational data. It is fully automated and has extended the 18th Space Control Squadron (18 SPCS) catalog. It supports GEO, MEO, and LEO missions for more than 10 operators, monitoring over 80 satellites at all times. It offers a direct operator interface, very low latencies (around 5 min), and conjunction prediction 15 days in advance for GEO and 7 days for LEO. The service performs consistency checks on catalog records, calculates collision probabilities, complies with CCSDS standards, and considers operational maneuvers. It provides detailed reports, including three components of the distance, evasion margin, and collision probabilities for each event. It can process operational covariance information, and uncertainty is estimated daily in catalog orbits, considering variations over the last 24 days. Focusoc provides the current status of the operator’s fleet, the CDM information database, and additional analysis graphs, products, and visualization tools through a dedicated web interface that updates in real-time. It allows fully automated interaction via a dedicated REST API. Focusoc performs advanced analysis for high-risk events, including B-plane plots, scaled probability studies, and parametric analysis of collision avoidance maneuvers, selecting the best maneuver to mitigate risk with the lowest delta-V.
