About
GMV Flexplan® is a generic and highly flexible real-time planning and scheduling system that can be efficiently reused across different space missions. It covers the complete mission planning cycle, allowing users to quickly and easily adapt the system to their specific needs. The system is designed for use by non-experts and can be easily adapted to any spacecraft platform and a wide variety of missions, from single satellites to massive fleets across LEO, MEO, and HEO orbits. Key features include the generation of soft algorithms, eliminating the need for recompilation when flight rules change, and the creation of high-fidelity mission scenarios based on user events and tasks. Its user-centric design means no programming knowledge is required to operate the tool. The modular architecture facilitates easy integration into various ground segment architectures. In a typical workflow, users interact with an offline Mission Engineering Platform (MEP) during the mission configuration phase. The daily planning cycle involves the Planning and Conflict Resolution (PIC and CR) components. Users import external events (flight dynamics, user requests), generate the mission schedule, resolve conflicts, and export the conflict-free schedule to the control center for mission execution. GMV Flexplan® also supports services based on the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and directives that can execute programs or retrieve program information. An external interfaces module provides connectivity between GMV Flexplan® and other ground subsystems.
