About

The GR718B is a radiation-hardened SpaceWire router with 18 ports, providing high-throughput wormhole routing for space and other high-reliability applications. It is included in the European Preferred Parts List (EPPL) and has flight heritage on multiple missions in harsh environments, including ESA’s JUpiter ICy moons Explorer (JUICE) mission. The router implements a routing switch as defined in ECSS-E-ST-50-12C, supporting all mandatory and optional features, with eighteen external routing ports, an internal configuration port, and an internal port for system-level test support. Configuration and status registers and the routing table are accessed via the Remote Memory Access Protocol (RMAP) per ECSS-E-ST-50-52C, and the router fully supports the ECSS-E-ST-50-51C protocol identification standard. Available in flight, engineering, and prototype quality levels in a high-reliability ceramic quad flat package (CQFP-256).
