The GR740 is a radiation-hardened system-on-chip (SoC) designed for demanding space environments. It incorporates a quad-core fault-tolerant LEON4FT SPARC V8 processor, ensuring high reliability and performance in radiation-prone conditions. The SoC also includes an eight-port SpaceWire router for high-speed data communication, a PCI initiator/target interface, CAN 2.0 interfaces, and 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet interfaces for versatile connectivity. Developed as the European Space Agency’s Next Generation Microprocessor (NGMP), the GR740 is a key component for advanced space missions and is listed in the European Preferred Parts List (EPPL).
