The HRVI-2HD is a high-resolution optical payload system developed by Berlin Space Technologies. It is designed to provide high-resolution imagery with a Ground Sample Distance (GSD) of 2 meters and a swath width of 15 kilometers. The system is space qualified, ensuring its suitability for the harsh space environment. It is equipped with a Data Processing Unit (DPU) that supports JPEG compression, offers 2TB of storage, and includes CCSDS compatibility and encryption capabilities. A notable feature is its in-orbit focusing ability, allowing for adjustments once deployed. The HRVI-2HD is currently awaiting launch on BST’s Lagari Satellite, which utilizes the LEOS-50 platform. It has a design life of 5 years.
