Komodo is a high-performance Earth observation camera designed for space applications, offering capabilities comparable to larger systems within a compact 12U form factor. It generates multispectral data for diverse uses, supporting both push-broom and RGB snapshot modes for flexible Earth observation and Space Situational Awareness (SSA). The camera uniquely combines versatility with high-resolution performance. It is available in two main configurations: RGB and Multispectral. The RGB configuration provides a Spatial Resolution (GSD) of 1.5 m at 500 km and a Swath of 6.1 km at 500 km, with standard RGB spectral bands. It has a mass of 12 kg (including electronics), physical dimensions of 200 mm x 200 mm x 340 mm, and supports 8-bit or 10-bit data formats. It includes 128 Gigabytes of integrated mass data storage, with RAW or J2K lossless or lossy compression. Data interfaces are LVDS and SpaceWire, with TMTC via RS422. Power usage is <10 W in imaging mode and <5 W in readout mode, powered by 5V DC. The Multispectral configuration offers a PAN 1.5 / MS 3 m (binned 2×2) Spatial Resolution (GSD) at 500 km and a Swath of 15 km at 500 km, with 11 x MS spectral bands. It shares the same mass and physical size as the RGB version but supports 10-bit or 12-bit data formats and includes 512 Gigabytes of integrated mass data storage. Compression, data interface, and TMTC interface are identical. Power usage for the multispectral version is estimated at <45 W in imaging mode and <25 W in readout mode, powered by 28V DC.
