About

The Leonardo Mini-PHM (Miniaturized Passive Hydrogen Maser) is a compact space atomic clock developed under ESA/ASI contract in partnership with Orolia Switzerland, aimed at the Galileo Next Generation program. It achieves the same frequency stability as the full-size PHM but in a lighter, more compact package with reduced power consumption and improved environmental sensitivity. Output frequency is 10.00285741 MHz (hydrogen hyperfine divided by 142) at +7 dBm. Frequency drift is less than 1e-14 per day after 1 week and less than 1e-15 per day after 30 days. Allan deviation reaches 6.5e-13 at 1 second integration, 6.3e-14 at 100 seconds, and 7e-15 at 10,000 seconds. Mass 12 kg; power less than 54W at -5 deg C baseplate. Temperature frequency sensitivity less than 1e-15 per deg C. Design lifetime greater than 12 years in MEO.
