About
L.Garde Deployable Antennas are innovative structures that offer high packaging efficiency and performance for space applications. These antennas are designed to package very large apertures into very small volumes, making them suitable for missions with stringent size and mass constraints. L.Garde has a long history of demonstrating the capabilities of these antennas, including the Inflatable Antenna Experiment (IAE) which flew on STS-77. The IAE consisted of a 14-meter diameter inflatable parabolic dish antenna with an inflatable torus perimeter support, positioned away from the Spartan 207 spacecraft by three 33-meter long inflatable struts. L.Garde continues to innovate in this field, developing new antenna concepts and prototypes, including those with surface accuracy suitable for Ka-band transmissions.
