About
MagicPPP® is a web-based precise positioning service with global coverage that allows GNSS users to determine their position or trajectory with centimetric accuracy, based on user RINEX measurements. It uses new-generation precise point positioning (PPP) algorithms developed by GMV and is based on precise GNSS products generated by GMV. The service simplifies and accelerates the process to increase productivity, allowing users to upload GNSS data, select the post-processing mode, and obtain precise position or trajectory with just a few clicks. Along with the position or trajectory, MagicPPP® provides a comprehensive report with extensive information on input data quality, configuration used, estimation process, and positioning quality. Data management is streamlined with a dynamic map showing available stations and datasets for a selected date. Users can select datasets for processing by clicking on the map. MagicPPP® offers two pre-configured post-processing modes: static and kinematic. In kinematic mode, users can select whether they are terrestrial or aerial to apply the most appropriate configuration. Position and trajectory are provided in plain ASCII and standard formats for quick visualization. MagicPPP® is a fully multi-constellation solution, currently compatible with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and ZSS. Its algorithms have been extensively validated with real multi-constellation data. To achieve maximum precision, MagicPPP® processes code and phase measurements. The PPP technique requires several core products, including precise orbit predictions, satellite clock corrections, and other corrections for navigation satellites. For high-precision results, orbit accuracy must be in the order of 2-4 centimeters, and clock error corrections must be maintained around 0.15 nanoseconds. To provide a fast response, full autonomy, and multi-constellation capabilities, MagicPPP® employs core products regularly generated using GMV’s own state-of-the-art MagicODTS precise orbit determination and time synchronization suite. These products are automatically generated processing data from a network of about one hundred stations distributed worldwide. The service offers three access methods: a post-processing service via a web application where registered users can upload, save, and manage raw data files in the MagicGNSS cloud system workspace; a PPP web service that operates at the TCP/IP level and from specific user RINEX data without a graphical interface, suitable for integration into mobile applications; and a free email-based PPP service where users send raw RINEX data files to receive a complete OOO solution and report. Commercial receivers providing observational data in standard formats like RINEX are compatible, as are binary formats from most receiver manufacturers. Supported RINEX versions are 2.00, 2.10, 2.11, 3.00, 3.01, 3.02, and 3.03, compressed or uncompressed. The service is applicable for Earth observation and navigation, positioning, and timing.
