Each GPS/GNSS receiver subsystem requires a High Quality Antenna with low noise, RF filters, high gain and appropriate radiation pattern capturing all available signals from the GNSS constellation. The nanoPATCH-L1 is a long-term optimized CubeSat GPS Antenna specially designed for modern satellites, CubeSats and the majority of University projects, where the satellite development team requires a module with limited size, to be incorporated into an already “fully occupied” satellite wall. The module requires to be incorporated into RF conductive panels such as PCB with fully flooded copper plane or aluminum solar panel wall. The conductive surface acts as a groundplane which naturally equalizes the antenna radiation pattern. Optimal performance is achieved once the nanoPATCH-L1 is fixed using countersunk screws. A robust MCX-F connector maintains perfect RF performance as well as electrical connection and mechanical stability. For really tight accommodations a right-angle version is mounted on request. Just connect the RF Coaxial cable with DC power from 2.7 to 5.5V and start to receive first signals from the GPS constellation with your GPS Receiver!
