About
The NEA® Model 2545 Pin Puller is a non-pyrotechnic separation system designed for satellite applications where a pull force is required between two components. It provides a pull force of 25 lbf (111 N) at the end of its stroke. Actuation is achieved by applying 4 Amps of current for 25 ms, with a no-fire current of 250 mA. The device has a release time of less than 50 ms. It is qualified for a temperature range of -101°C to +172°C. The mass of the device is 182 g (0.40 lb), not including harnessing and lead wires. The product is cleared for open publication by the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review, Department of Defense 03/18/2022.
