About

HARPER is Nimesis Technology’s ultra-flat locking/unlocking actuator for launcher applications. It uses a jaw-based release mechanism actuated by shape memory alloy elements, providing a compact and rapid hold-and-release function specifically designed for volume-constrained launcher interfaces. The HDRA-type form factor makes HARPER the flattest option in its performance class, suitable for stage separation and fairing or cap release applications on mini and micro launch vehicles. At TRL 5, HARPER has undergone technology validation in a representative environment, with further qualification underway.
