About
The Propulsion Thruster Drive Mechanism rotates a unit of three propulsion thrusters around one axis within a specified angle range, holds the thruster unit in the transportation position during launch, and controls operating temperature of propulsion thrusters. A one-degree-of-freedom electromechanical device, it provides ±10.5° rotation at 0.08–5 °/min with 5 arcmin pointing error and 20 N·m nominal torque. Overall dimensions are 520 × 390 × 300 mm, mass 7.3 kg. Released in 2003 with a 15-year guaranteed service life (19-year overall), 14,000+ hour operational life, and 4-month delivery time.
