About
The PSU1 is a portable power supply designed for use with most Bartington magnetometers, offering a convenient solution for magnetic field measurements. It is a self-contained unit that is easy to use, making it suitable for various applications where simple magnetic field readings are required. Beyond its primary function as a power supply, the PSU1 also serves as an AC filter for the sensor’s XYZ outputs, ensuring cleaner signals. Key features include a low-pass filter (9.5kHz) for all sensor outputs and a switchable high-pass filter (0.1Hz). It also converts analogue outputs from Bartington balanced (differential) sensors into unbalanced (single-ended) signals. The unit is battery-powered with internal rechargeable batteries and can also be mains-powered using an AC charging adaptor. Its versatility makes it applicable for tasks such as Compass Safe Distance Testing and supporting Cryogenic Sensors in Quantum Computing.
