About
SIGI is Reflex Aerospace’s first custom-built satellite to achieve flight heritage, launched on 14 January 2025 aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-12 rideshare mission (Falcon 9). Built on Reflex’s OmniFlex customizable platform, SIGI is a 109 kg remote sensing satellite operating in a 510 km Sun-synchronous orbit (approximately 97.4 degrees inclination, local time of ascending node 22:30) with a planned mission duration of one year. Reflex reports more than a year of in-orbit performance data validating the platform across thousands of orbital cycles, and has published a white paper on the mission’s in-orbit performance. The spacecraft carries S-band TMTC (1 Mbit/s downlink, 128 kbit/s uplink) and X-band payload downlink at up to 80 Mbit/s, powered by an array generating 330 W nominal with 500 Wh of usable battery capacity and 900 W peak power availability.
