About

The SBFM120 is a portable flyaway antenna system designed to travel as airline-checkable luggage and assemble quickly in the field for beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) satellite communications. The reflector and support structure are carbon fiber for low weight and high strength, engineered to drain rainwater even at high elevation pointing angles. It complies with MIL-STD-188-164A and ITU-R S.580. All antenna and RF components pack into two airline check-in cases or two carry-on backpacks for two-person transport by foot, vehicle, boat, ship, airplane, or helicopter. It is compatible with SpaceBridge’s ASAT and ESTELLA modem lines. Use cases include isolated military tactical units, disaster-recovery and public-safety teams, detached command-and-control centers, and backup paths for land networks (Communications-On-The-Pause).
