The Solar Array Drive Mechanism Type 5 rotates solar array wings, transmits electrical power and telemetry signals, and generates shaft angle signals. An electromechanical SADM with continuous rotation at 0–8 deg/min and 0.083° high-precision angle measurement, it supports 70 A total current across 2 power circuits and 26 telemetry circuits. Dimensions 270 × 156 × 281 mm, mass 4.5 kg. Released in 2006, 100,000+ hour operational life, 10-year guaranteed service life, 12-month delivery. Customizable. Flight-qualified on Glonass-K.
