About
The Spacemag®-2 is a three-axis fluxgate magnetometer specifically engineered for spaceflight applications. It is well-suited for diverse low Earth orbit (LEO) missions, encompassing both commercial and scientific endeavors, particularly when budget constraints are a primary consideration. Key features include a compact sensor head measuring just 20mm wide, a bandwidth of 25-30Hz at -3dB from 0°C to +30°C, and a low noise level of <20pTrms/√Hz at 1Hz. This instrument has already been deployed in space, with a Spacemag®-2 aboard Iota Technology’s CubeSat Io-1 satellite, which successfully launched into orbit on March 30, 2026, via a SpaceX Transporter 16 mission.
