About
The Unified Power Management and Control Module is part of a set of unified modules for critical power management systems, designed for use in guaranteed power systems for aircraft engines, electric drives pumping oil, gas, chemical products, and other systems of critical use. Released in 2012, it is built around a 32-bit RISC control core (1.25 DMIPS/mc.) clocked at 72 MHz, with static RAM, flash ROM, and a DMA controller, and offers a rich set of external interfaces (TTP, CAN, JTAG, USB, SPI, I2C) plus peripheral modules including a 12-bit 8-channel ADC, a 12-bit 4-channel DAP, a thermal meter, PLL, PWM, POR and LDO. It supports multiple operating modes (Active, SLEEP, STOP, and three STANDBY modes). Main functions within its rated temperature range include: monitoring the load current of each power source and reporting the value via CAN and TTP; detecting emergency conditions for each power source (‘open’, ‘overload’, ‘short circuit’), generating a disconnect signal, and reporting emergency status via CAN and TTP; and monitoring the status of the secondary power supply (SPS) and reporting its status via CAN and TTP. In addition to power monitoring, the module can measure a physical sensor value (pressure, coordinate, temperature, vibration velocity, etc.) and transmit that value via CAN and TTP. The product has a guaranteed service life of 3 years, an estimated production/delivery time of 8 months, is not flight-qualified, and is not stated to be adaptable to customer requirements.
