About
Voyager is a satellite platform built upon the Trestles platform, sharing common hardware modules with the Triumph-class. It incorporates redundant components for major systems, which allows for an extended operational lifetime, particularly in harsh space environments. A standard hydrazine propulsion system is integrated into the platform. Terran Orbital’s entire line of satellite buses, including Voyager, utilizes the same avionics and GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) algorithms. The radios on Voyager are specifically designed for compatibility with NASA’s Deep Space Network. The platform is also engineered to meet the requirements for ‘rail’ based dispensers, including those manufactured by Terran Orbital. It features a compact tri-fold solar array, which provides more power to the payload than typically available in this form factor. Terran Orbital emphasizes top-of-the-line automation and modern manufacturing processes to support the annual delivery of hundreds of these buses, accelerating mission solutions from order to launch for quantities ranging from single units to constellations of one hundred.
