About

The Xenon Cold Gas Thruster is specifically designed for spacecraft orientation. It operates using either xenon or nitrogen as propellant and features a thermal accumulating chamber with a heater and a nozzle. Propellant is supplied to the chamber via two small-size solenoid valves. The thruster also includes Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI), electrical connectors, and a mounting plate that integrates all its components. Key specifications include a thrust range of 6.4 to 9.3 mN, a specific impulse of 40 seconds in continuous mode, and a propellant inlet pressure between 157.0 and 186.4 kPa. It boasts a firing duration life of 55 hours and a cycle life of 40,000 cycles. The heater has a life of 50 cycles and an operation duration of 150 hours. It supports pulse mode firing from 0.1 to 4.0 seconds at a maximum frequency of 0.1 Hz, and continuous mode firing from 4 to 5000 seconds. The thruster, including electrical connectors, has a mass of 0.2 ± 0.02 kg. The product was released in 2006 and has a guaranteed service life of 10 years. While not flight qualified, it can be adapted to customer requirements. The estimated production and delivery time is 10 months, not including material procurement (4 months) and parts procurement (6 months).
