About
The Xiphos Q7 ACS Daughterboard is an expansion module for the Q7 processor card that delivers a comprehensive suite of functions and interfaces commonly required in a satellite Attitude Control System (ACS) subsystem. Designed to mate directly with the Q7, it extends the processor’s capability to handle the real-time sensing, actuation, and monitoring demands of spacecraft attitude control.
The board provides multiple RS-422/RS-485 serial interfaces and GPIO for communicating with star trackers, magnetometers, sun sensors, reaction wheels, and magnetorquers. Three full H-bridge motor drivers support direct actuation of magnetic torque rods or other electromagnetic actuators. Switchable voltage outputs at 5V, 15V, and 28V simplify power distribution to ACS components, while integrated current and voltage monitoring provides closed-loop telemetry.
Although optimized for ACS applications, the Q7 ACS Daughterboard is flexible enough for general-purpose onboard computer (OBC) roles and command-and-control applications interfacing with multiple bus or payload systems. Its compact dimensions allow integration into small satellite and CubeSat form factors.
