Description
The HyperScape100 is a cutting-edge hyperspectral imaging system engineered for CubeSats, pushing the boundaries of small satellite Earth observation. It delivers an unprecedented hyperspectral imaging leap with a Ground Sample Distance (GSD) of 4.75 meters at an altitude of 500 kilometers. The system captures data across 32 bands, selectable from a broader range of 400 bands, covering the spectral range of 460–860. It features 1 to 8 Digital TDI (Time Delay Integration) stages, which can be set individually per band to optimize image quality. The camera operates in a pushbroom configuration using CMOS global shutter sensor technology with a resolution of 4096 pixels and a pixel size of 5.5 µm, providing a 12-bit pixel depth. Its spectral filter offers a FWHM Bandwidth of 3.5% of the central wavelength. For data management, it supports image reduction through binning of RAW data and optional CCSDS 122.0-B-2 Lossy/Lossless compression, along with thumbnailing for image preview. Control interface options include I²C, SPI, RS-422, and SpaceWire (ECSS-E-ST-50-12C), while data interface options are LVDS and SpaceWire (ECSS-E-ST-50-12C). The HyperScape100 is powered by a 5VDC (±5%) supply, drawing 1.8A. Its power consumption is 4.00 W (800 mA) in Idle Mode and 7.75 W (1550 mA) in Imaging Mode. The unit has a compact volume of 176.5 mm x 98.3 mm x 98.3 mm and a mass of 1.26 kg (±5%). It is designed to operate within a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C and is fully functional up to 15 kRad of radiation.
