About
The HyperScape50 is a powerful hyperspectral imaging system engineered for global Earth Observation, enabling the capture of detailed spectral content from any point on the planet. It features a compact 1U form factor and operates across a spectral range of 460–860 nm with 32 bands, derived from an initial 400 bands. The camera utilizes a pushbroom configuration with CMOS global shutter sensor technology, offering a resolution of 4096 pixels with a 5.5 µm pixel size and 12-bit pixel depth. It includes digital TDI capabilities with 1 to 8 stages, individually settable per band, and image reduction options such as binning of RAW data and CCSDS 122.0-B-2 Lossy/Lossless (optional). For control, it supports I²C, SPI, RS-422, and SpaceWire (ECSS-E-ST-50-12C) interfaces, while data interfaces include LVDS and SpaceWire (ECSS-E-ST-50-12C). The system is powered by 5VDC and has a mass of 0.51 kg, operating within a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C, and is fully functional up to 15 kRad radiation exposure.
