About
The MultiScape50 is an advanced Earth Observation camera engineered to monitor the environment by capturing imagery in multiple spectral bands more efficiently. It is designed to deliver daily insights into changes on Earth. Key features include a 30m Ground Sample Distance (GSD) at 500km altitude and a 120km Swath at 500km. The camera operates with 8 bands in the VNIR range and has a compact 1U volume. It captures images with 4096 pixels across track and supports up to 32 dTDI stages per band. The imaging system utilizes a pushbroom configuration with CMOS global shutter sensor technology. It has a focal length of 93.9 mm and an aperture of 11.75 mm, providing a full field of view of 13.68° across-track. The sensor has a resolution of 4096 pixels with a pixel size of 5.5 µm and a pixel depth of 12 bit. Its spectral filter includes one Panchromatic Band and seven VNIR bands (450 nm to 900 nm). Digital TDI capabilities allow for 1 to 32 stages, individually settable per band. The camera features 128 Gigabyte of EDAC-protected NAND Flash for storage. Image reduction options include binning of RAW data and optional CCSDS 122.0-B-2 Lossy/Lossless compression, with thumbnailing for image preview. Control interface options include I²C, SPI, RS-422, and SpaceWire (ECSS-E-ST-50-12C). Data interface options are LVDS and SpaceWire (ECSS-E-ST-50-12C). It operates on a 5VDC (±5%) power supply and is designed to be fully functional up to 15 kRad of radiation.
