On-Board Data Handling
VECTRONIC Aerospace On-Board Data Handling systems are designed for small satellite applications, processing telecommands and providing autonomy with event-triggered processes.
Description
VECTRONIC Aerospace On-Board Data Handling systems are specifically designed for small satellite applications. The system is capable of processing both direct and time-tagged telecommands, and offers enhanced autonomy through user-defined event-triggered processes. It includes standard functionalities for collecting, formatting, and interpreting spacecraft housekeeping data. The system architecture prioritizes high performance and offers optional redundant modules to improve reliability. With a power consumption of approximately 1.5 W, it is well-suited for small satellite operations. The system features interfaces for umbilical lines and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), along with a significant number of digital and analogue I/O lines. An HPC command interface is available upon request. The signal interface is highly configurable, allowing for a user-definable number of standard asynchronous SCIs at RS422/RS485 level. Subsystems can be connected in either a star configuration or a bus architecture, and the baud rate is adjustable up to 1 Mbaud. VECTRONIC Aerospace has flight heritage with 7 slightly different On-Board Data Handling systems successfully operating in orbit, with several more awaiting launch.
