About

The ABSL CM520 in 8s9p topology is a Li-ion space battery built on the ABSL P20 cell, configured for a 28 V spacecraft bus.

At 4.3 kg and 532.8 Wh it sits between the compact SmallSat units and the large multi-module configurations. EnerSys batteries supply power for platform and payload systems and are also essential prior to the deployment of any solar array apparatus.

ABSL batteries have logged over 6.5 billion cell hours in space without a mission failure, and include the longest operating rechargeable Li-ion battery in space and the batteries trusted to power the James Webb Telescope.
