The ASTROFEIN MicroCMG is a compact control moment gyroscope providing high torque output relative to its size, designed to enable rapid attitude maneuvers for small satellites that require faster slew rates than reaction wheels alone can provide. It stores 8.0 Nms of angular momentum while delivering a nominal torque of 14.0 Nm, in a package of 188 x 188 x 240 mm weighing up to 8.0 kg. The MicroCMG is designed for an 11-year hardware lifetime, extending ASTROFEIN’s attitude control actuator portfolio beyond reaction wheels into agile, high-torque maneuvering applications.
