About

The Comet Mini is a satellite platform engineered to support the most demanding high-power payloads, with adaptable launch configurations optimized for maximizing constellation deployment efficiency across various heavy-lift launch vehicles. It provides class-leading orbit average power, peak payload power, and power dissipation capabilities, and is purpose-built for mass production. The Comet Mini is slated for scaled delivery and launch readiness in 2028. It is designed to serve a broad range of critical, power-hungry missions, including orbital data centers, direct-to-device constellations with power-hungry, tile-based RF payloads, proliferated SAR constellations requiring high power, precision pointing, and rapid data downlink, and orbital magazines for hosting space-based interceptors. The platform offers various launch configurations: Stacked (up to 450 kg, 16 vehicles per launch on Falcon 9), Base (up to 1,000 kg, 8 vehicles per launch on Falcon 9), and Custom (up to 3,000 kg, vehicles per launch is configuration dependent). It provides significant power capabilities, including 20 kW array generation, 20 kW peak power, 8 kW orbit average power (OAP), and 6 kW continuous dissipation.
