Arterial Heat Pipes (AHPs) are two-phase (vapor/liquid) hermetic closed evaporating/condensing thermal transfer systems. They are filled with a working fluid, which can be Toluene, Ammonia, Propylene, Ethane, Methane, or Nitrogen, and can be configured in straight or complicated geometries. The primary purpose of these AHPs is the thermal control of spacecraft equipment. They were first released in 1992 and boast a guaranteed service life of 25 years after being filled with the working fluid. The estimated production and delivery time is 3 months. The product is flight qualified and has a significant flight heritage, having operated successfully on board more than 20 Russian satellites.
