About
The Electric Heaters (EH) are specifically designed to provide thermal conditions for spacecraft onboard equipment. They are constructed as flexible single-sided printed circuit boards, utilizing a thin dielectric base made of fiberglass or polyimide film. A resistive printed conductor, fabricated from manganin foil of a specific configuration, is deposited onto this base. To ensure protection, a dielectric coating of polyimide film or varnish is applied over the conductor. These heaters can also be manufactured with extension wires that are soldered to the EH pads, offering adaptability for various integration needs. The product was first released in 1976 and boasts a guaranteed service life of 36 years. It has extensive flight heritage, having been qualified on missions such as METEOR N, INTER-COSMOS, ELECTRO N 1, and “CORONAS-PHOTON.” The manufacturer also offers the possibility to adapt the product to customer requirements.
