About
Calian’s 7m Satcom Antenna is a medium-aperture dual-reflector Cassegrain earth station system designed for geostationary (GEO) and MEO satellite communications. Supporting C, Ka, Ku, S, and X frequency bands, it features an aluminum main reflector (surface accuracy < 0.008 inch RMS) and a carbon fibre composite sub-reflector (surface accuracy < 0.002 inch RMS). The elevation-over-azimuth 2-axis pedestal includes a cable wrap system with ample customer cabling space and an optional hub for RF equipment integration. Optional features include a de-icing system, environmentally controlled hub, and adjustable polarization. The M&C interface provides full remote monitoring and operation via Ethernet. Operating range is -30 to +60 °C. Calian has deployed 7m SATCOM systems for gateway operations, broadcast, and telemetry/tracking/command (TT&C) applications worldwide for more than four decades.
