About
Calian’s 9.2m Satcom Antenna is a high-accuracy, high-efficiency dual-reflector Cassegrain earth station system designed for geostationary (GEO) and medium-Earth orbit (MEO) satellite communications. The system supports Ka, Ku, X, C, and S frequency bands and features an aluminum main reflector with surface accuracy below 0.008 inch RMS and a carbon fibre composite sub-reflector with surface accuracy below 0.002 inch RMS. The elevation-over-azimuth 2-axis pedestal provides state-of-the-art cable wrap systems with ample space for customer cabling. An optional hub of up to 10 ft diameter is available for RF equipment integration. Standard features include de-icing system, environmentally controlled hub option, and adjustable polarization. The M&C interface provides full remote operation and monitoring via Ethernet with multiple tracking modes and compatible computer software. Calian has provided SATCOM antenna systems worldwide for over 40 years, with installations for satellite operators, gateway operators, and government customers on all continents.
